Adding an Event

This article covers the essentials and most utilized features within the event editor. For information on features not covered in this article, please contact support.

Access: Content>Event Manager>Events

  • Select Add New Event.

General (Required)

  • Provide a Title for the event.
  • Quick Description (optional) should be a short sentence describing, or teasing the event. This will display in your calendar's list view (add "/calendar/list" to the end of your website address).

When (Required)

  • If you have a specific start and end time:
  1. Single Session

    • Enter the Start/End date and Time, being sure to adjust the AM/PM drop-down for each.
  2. Multiple Sessions

    1. Click Yes for Multi Session Event?.
    2. Hit the Save & Edit button in the bottom right corner to generate the session editor.
    3. Return to the When tab.
    4. Select Add Session.
    5. Enter a Start and End date and Time.
    6. Leave the Title and Quick Description fields blank to use the same as those of the original event (recommended).
    7. Repeat steps d-f for each additional session.
  • The Full Day Event option will NOT display the event at a specific time, rather, a full date or date range.
  • Only Visible (optional) will allow you to display the event at, or within a date/time range of your liking, as opposed to right away.

Where (Recommended)

  • Provide a Location Name.
  • Link For Information (or Map) (optional) allows you to paste a link to a Google Map for your event's location. For information on obtaining a location's Google Map link, please click here.

More Info (Optional)

  • Title/Caption should be the name of the Link URL's origin (see next bullet point). This could be a sponsor, organization, business name, etc. (ex. "Habitat for Humanity").
  • Link URL is where you will enter the direct link to the website of the Title/Caption (from the previous bullet point). (ex. "https://www.habitat.org"). 

Be sure to include the 'http://" or "https://" prior to the 'www.' or else the link will not function. It is easiest just to copy/paste the URL directly from your browser.

Description (Required)

  • Enter in the full details of the event including any text, images, etc. (This uses the same editor as the page manager).
