Quick Start Guide

The Fission Dashboard

To access your dashboard, go to www.yourwebsite.com/login, making sure to replace www.yourwebsite.com with your actual website URL.
Log in with the credentials that you created, or which were provided to you.
The dashboard is the first screen you see and it will look something like this:

The Fission dashboard is the “back-end” of your website – your visitors will never see this area. The back-end is the foundation for controlling how your site looks and functions, and managing your settings.

Quick Launch

On the dashboard screen you will see a “Quick Launch” section with links to commonly used areas. Click on a button to go to that area
* Tip: all areas of the dashboard can also be accessed using the navigation at the top of the screen
* Note: not all components are available on all websites

  • View Page List - Update existing pages on your website, or add new pages
  • News Manager - Update existing news articles or or add news articles to the “News” area of the website
  • Edit Modules - Update existing modules or add new modules here. Modules are “sections” of a page which can be set to appear on specified pages. 
  • Event Manager - Update existing events or add new events here to be included in the “Events” area of the website
  • Menu Manager - Update navigation menus and menu items, or add new menu items
  • Image Manager - Browse all images uploaded to your website. Upload new images or download existing ones.
  • Image Gallery - Update existing galleries, upload and remove images, create new galleries
  • Showcase Manager - Update Portfolio, Case Studies, and Testimonials if applicable
  • Jobs & Recruiting - Configure job postings and view submitted applications
  • E-Commerce - Updated and add e-commerce products, view and process orders, configure e-commerce settings

Common Fission Tasks

Reset Your Password

If you forget your CMS password, you can reset the password by going to www.yourwebsite.com/login (making sure to replace www.yourwebsite.com with your actual website URL) and clicking "Forgot Password". You will then need to enter your username or email address and click "Reset Password", which will prompt an email to be sent to the address with instructions on completing the password reset. If you don't see the message please check your email's "spam" folder as these types of messages sometimes get flagged as spam. If you still cannot locate the message in your spam folder, please contact support at support@360psg.com to manually reset the password.

Add a New Page

  1. In the website dashboard, under “Quick Launch”, click “View Page List”
  2. On the “Page Manager” screen, click the blue "Add New Page" button in the lower left
  3. In the "New Page" window, enter your page name and click "Save & Continue"
  4. In the "Edit Page" window, click on the "Content Editor" tab and add your page content as needed
  5. Use the "Paragraph Format" button on the left of the middle row to style your text
  6. Click "Save & Close"

Edit an Existing Page

  1. In the website dashboard, under “Quick Launch”, click “View Page List”
  2. To the right of the page you wish to edit, click the "Edit this Page" button
  3. In the "Edit Page" window, click on the "Content Editor" tab
  4. Use the content editor to update page  content as needed
  5. Click "Save & Close" in the "Configure Module Settings" window

Add an Image to a Page

  1. In the website dashboard, under “Quick Launch”, click “View Page List”
  2. To the right of the page you wish to edit, click the "Edit this Page" button
  3. In the "Edit Page" window, click on the "Content Editor" tab
  4. In the content editor, place your cursor in the area of the page where you want the image to appear, and click the “Image” button

  5. In the "Image Properties" window, click "Browse Server"
  6. In the window that pops up, navigate to the folder which contains the image, or where you wish to upload the new image

    a. If uploading a new image, in the upper right, click "Add Files"

    b. In the file window that pops up, locate the file you wish to upload and double-click it, OR cancel out of the file window and then "click and drag" your files into the area labeled "Drag & Drop your files here" (NOTE: always use a new, unique file name for the image)

    c. Your file will be listed under "Files to be uploaded". Click the blue "Begin Upload" button in the upper right

    d. Once the file is uploaded, the "Drag & Drop your files here" message will appear again. Click "Cancel" in the upper right.
  7. Click the image you wish to add and click "Select" in the upper right
  8. The Media Manager window will close. Adjust the "width" and "height" fields in the "Image Properties" window and click the green "Ok" button
  9. The image should now appear under "Facebook Reviews" in the editor. If needed, click on the image and adjust height and width in the "Image Properties" window
  10. Click "Save & Close" in the "Configure Module Settings" window

Edit a Navigation Menu Item

  1. In the website dashboard, under “Quick Launch”, click “Menu Manager”
  2. On the left under “Available Menus”, click the menu you wish to edit
  3. Menu items will appear on the right in a “tree” diagram. Use the plus signs to expand sub-menu items
  4. To the right of the menu item you wish to edit, click “Edit the Item”
  5. In the " Menu Item" window, "General Info" tab, edit the "Name", "Caption", “Parent” and “Link”
  6. To update where the menu items points to, click the little red icon to the right of the “Link” field
  7. In the "Page Picker" window that opens, next to "Name Contains", type a keyword from the title of the pae you wish to link to, then click the "Filter" button
  8. Click the little red icon to the left of appropriate page, which will close the "Page Picker" window
  9. In the "Link" field you should now see some code that looks something like this: "{=PFLINK(000000)=}"
  10. Click "Save Item" in the "New Menu Item" window, which closes the window
  11.  Use the blue arrows to move the new menu item to the top of the list

Add a New Navigation Menu Item

  1. In the website dashboard, under “Quick Launch”, click “Menu Manager”
  2. On the left under “Available Menus”, click on the menu you wish to edit
  3. Click the blue "Add New Menu Item" button in the lower left
  4. In the "New Menu Item" window, "General Info" tab, enter the "Name" for the menu item and the "Caption" will auto-fill with the same
  5. Click the blue plus sign “+” next to “Parent”, and click the menu item that will be the parent of the new menu item (if it is a top level menu item, the parent will just be the menu name)
  6. To the right of the "Link" field, click the little red icon
  7. In the "Page Picker" window that opens, next to "Show Link Grouping", select "Content : Pages"
  8. Next to "Name Contains", type a keyword from the page title and then click the "Filter" button
  9. Click the little red icon to the left of the page you wish to link to, which will close the "Page Picker" window
  10. In the "Link" field you should now see some code that looks something like this: "{=PFLINK(000000)=}"
  11. Click "Save Item" in the "New Menu Item" window, which closes the window
  12.  Use the blue arrows to move the new menu item to the top of the list
