Link to PDFs or Other Documents (WYSIWYG Editor)
In order to link to PDFs or any other documents, we have one of two options: Link from an image or text within the editor, or, via a menu item.
Link via Text/Image:
- Highlight the text or image you would like to link from.
- Select the 'Link' icon from the toolbar.
- Click on the Documents option in the left sidebar.
- Check the box next to the appropriate document.
- From the Open in: drop-down, choose New Window.
- Select Insert.
Link via Menu Item
Getting the Link
- Access: Content>Media Manager>Documents.
- Check the box next to the appropriate document (the file path will appear in the URL field below).
- Highlight and copy the text in the URL field.
- Close out the popup window.
Setting the Link
- Access: Content>Menu Manager.
- Select the appropriate menu on the left.
- Click Add New Menu Item.
- Enter the menu item's Name (the Caption will auto-fill after you hit the tab key or click outside of the name field).
- Paste the URL we had copied in the previous section into the Link field.
- Set the Target to New Window.
- Save Item.
