Introduction to CK Editor

Congratulations! You're now running on the new & exciting CK Editor! This upgrade features a different look and several improvements to your editor and media manager. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it for you! Below are just a some notbale updates:

Editor

This is the new look editor. In the screenshot below, we've pointed out the most commonly used tools. If you are unsure what a particular icon is, hover it to display the tool's name.

• Location Update: The HTML Source and Preview Page tools are now available at the top left of your screen (as opposed to the bottom).
• New Feature: Plain Text Paste. This option removes the formatting from the text that you've copied automatically. (Word Paste will retain it).

Media Manager: Images & Documents

• Access: Content>Media Manager, then choose Documents or Images. 

OR

• Access: Within your editor like previous, by setting a link or adding an image.

Change Libraries

• Click the drop-down next to Library to change between Documents and Images.

Upload

• Find the folder you wish to upload into and select it. (Additional folders can be created by selecting the New Folder button.)
• Click Upload.
• You may drag and drop from a folder on your computer, or click the Add Files button.
• Highlight, or hold down the control (Ctrl) button on your keyboard and click to select individual files.
• Choose Open, then Begin Upload.
• Once all files are listed at 100 percent, hit Close.

Rename/Delete/Move Files

• Hover the file and click the 'Gear' icon.

Link to File

• Highlight the text or image which will serve as the link.
• Select the 'Link' icon from the toolbar.
• Choose the Browse Server button.
• Click the Media tab.
• Select either Images or Documents.
• Click the file once, then choose the Select button.
• Hit OK.

Add Image

• Click the 'Image' icon.
• Choose Browse Server.
• Click the image once, then choose the Select button.
• Make property adjustments, if necessary, then hit OK.
