Domain Registrar
360 PSG will require access to your domain registrar account in order to configure your DNS records when you decide to launch the site after development. That may sound like a bunch of techy talk, but it is important we have this information or no one will ever be able to see your website. We will also need to know what the domain name is (ex. mydomain.com)
Already purchased a domain?
If you have already purchased a domain from a registrar (GoDaddy.com, Registar.com, Enom.com, Networksolutions.com, etc…), the easiest way to complete this step is to provide your username and password. We only need it to change a few settings and you can change the password after the site has been launched if you wish.
Do not have a domain yet?
360 PSG can purchase one on your behalf. Just let us know what domain you wish and if it is available, we will buy it for you. You remain the owner of the domain, we just bought it for you.
*
We recommend that you allow 360 PSG to manage your domain for you. If you wish, we will take over the management of your domain under our registrar account. You remain the owner and can request it back at any time. When 360 PSG manages your domain, we will ensure the renewal every time it comes up and you will not have to worry about losing your domain to poachers. We also do all the techy stuff to ensure your website remains on our most updated servers without having to come to you to make changes to your DNS records. Please let your project coordinator know if you would like 360 PSG to manage your domain.
You have an IT professional to manage your domain?
If you are knowledgeable in IT or have someone on staff that is and do not want 360 PSG to have access to your registrar account, all you have to do is provide us an email address of that individual. When launch time comes, 360 PSG will send the instructions for the proper DNS record changes.
