Create New Form Action
A form action is a necessary component in the form creation process; every website form must contain one. The action tells the form what to do and who to notify once it is submitted, among other things.
Access: Components>Form Manager>Action Handler.
- Click Create New Action.
- Type in the Name of your action. Make this the same as the form's name.
- Select Add & Configure (the Code field generates automatically).
- Click the Action tab.
- In the Email Address(es) field, enter the address(es) of the individual(s) who will receive notification emails once the form is submitted. Be sure to separate multiple addresses by a comma, or place them on separate lines.
- Choose the Layouts tab.
- Select the Add A Layout button.
- From the Layout drop-down, select the form's name.
- Click Save, then Save once more.
These are the basic requirements of a form action. For additional information on advanced options the handler offers, see: Web Form Action. For information on placing a form on a web page, see Adding a Form to a Web Page.
